Cloud Blossom Twilight
Artist: Amy Sol
2006
Acrylic on Wood
Purchased from Copro Gallery
*one day i was crusing the Copro website and i came upon the new pieces for amy's show. i quickly fired off an email to the gallery inquiring about several pieces. Gary in his repeated generosity to me over the years, helped me acquire 2 beautiful pieces from this breakout show and the first for me from this incredible artist who i've come to adore.

*while i was waiting to hear back from a gallery regarding several of her pieces, i went ahead and shot an email over to the artist to see if there was any chance she would be interested in doing a commission for me. i included details about what i might be looking for - themed around my munkies - and she generously agreed and created this incredible piece for me. it was her very first commission and mine as well. a sweet memory for me :)

Artist: Amy Sol
2006
Acrylic on Canvas
24"x48"
Purchased from Pacific Art Collective
*upon discovering Amy's work, i went on a massive buying jag. i googled the heck out of her and contacted every gallery where her name showed up. I found this piece and although it was clearly indicative of her earlier work, i fell in love with it's sweetness and it's size - it was the 5th piece purchased in under 24 hours. it was a blast. and i'm a little nuts.

Untitled
Artist: Sam Flores
2006
Acrylic on Wood
11.75"x8.75"
Purchased from Chester's Blacksmith
*i had contacted the gallery inquiring about pieces by this artist after a dear friend had picked up a beautiful little piece. initially when speaking with the owner, it was clear that he was all out, however after chatting for a bit, he mentioned a piece he had in his home which he would be willing to part with. This incredible little beauty showed up on my doorstep and i still consider it one of the most fortunate "finds" in my collection and yet another example of a gallery owner who generously went above and beyond for a customer.
